Francesco Violi: A brief bio
In Italiano.
He was born in Reggio Calabria (Italy) on October 28, 1940.
He graduated from the ”Scuola Superiore D’arte applicata" (Applied Art High School) in Milan, and received a diploma at the "Accademia di Brera" (Brera Academy), and further studied at the "Accademia internazionale di San Marco"(International Academy of San Marco) in Naples.
1964/66 Teacher of ceramic modelling
1967/72 Francesco taught artistic drawing, goldsmithing and engraving. He also taught drawing for the professional draftsman.
He has designed and produced more than 2000 different models for production firms, including statues, commemorative medals, sacred art, and designs for sports medals.
The artist has shown his work in over 100 exhibitions throughout Europe.
A private small museum is currently being completed and will exhibit the works of the artist in Bova Sup (Reggio Cal.) Italy. His work can also be seen in Milan where his private studio and workshop is located.
